Who is responsible for your data?

Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, account identifier and sign-in records.
- Business information: the business details, contact information, logo, industry, market, currency, tax preferences, rates and other settings you choose to save.
- Quote and customer information: job descriptions, estimates, quotes, invoices and customer details that you enter.
- Payment information: subscription plan, payment status and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. JobPrice does not store full payment-card details.
- AI quote information: the job notes and related details you submit for AI-assisted drafting, plus the generated result.
- Technical information: essential cookie identifiers, device/browser information, security records and service logs.
How and why we use information
We use personal information to create and secure accounts, provide estimates and quoting tools, save customer records at your direction, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and misuse, maintain the service and comply with legal obligations.
Our main lawful bases are performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating, supporting and protecting JobPrice. Where consent is legally required, we will ask for it separately.
Service providers and international transfers
We use specialist providers to operate JobPrice, including Sites/Cloudflare for hosting, Supabase for account authentication, Stripe for subscription payments and OpenAI for AI-assisted quote drafting. These providers process only the information needed for their role and may process data outside the UK. Where required, appropriate contractual or recognised transfer safeguards are used.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or to professional advisers. We do not sell personal information.
If you enter customer information
Business users may add information about their own customers. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to use that information and for giving your customers any privacy information the law requires. Do not enter unnecessary sensitive information into JobPrice or the AI quote tool.
How long we keep information
Account and working records are generally kept while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards so we can provide support, recover data and resolve disputes. Payment and accounting records may be retained for up to six years where needed for tax, legal or fraud-prevention purposes. Security logs and backups are kept for shorter operational periods. You may request deletion, subject to information we must retain by law.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal information, object to certain uses, or receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us using the details above. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and updates
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may update this policy when the service or law changes; the latest version and date will remain on this page.
